Stonebwoy’s Overjoyed Reaction to Mohammed Kudus’ Stunning Goal for West Ham United
Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist Stonebwoy enthusiastically celebrated the first English Premier League goal of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus at the London Olympic Stadium. Kudus scored a late goal, securing a draw for West Ham in their match against Newcastle United on a Sunday.
Stonebwoy, who was in the UK for the Ghana Music Awards UK, is a devoted fan of Kudus, who has cited the musician’s music as a source of inspiration. A video of Stonebwoy celebrating the equalizing goal went viral on social media. Stonebwoy had even predicted before the game that Kudus would score two goals, and Kudus indeed delivered, rescuing a point for West Ham with just two minutes left in the game, as reported by The Guardian.
Since joining West Ham United from Ajax Amsterdam, the 23-year-old midfielder has now scored three goals. Kudus came on as a substitute for Tomas Soucek with 15 minutes remaining in the game when West Ham was trailing 2-1 at the Olympic Stadium.
He made an impressive long-range shot from outside the box to level the scores and salvage a point for the home team.
