Ghanaian musician, Sarkodie released his ‘Black Love’ album which features many artistes including Ghanaian dancehall act Stonebwoy, Nigerian musician Teckno and surprisingly Sista Afia.
Many people are loving Sista Afia’s voice on the Black Love album. She really nailed that Broken Heart song. Sarkodie has addressed why he chose to have Sista Afia on the Broken Heart song on the Black Love Album . In an interview with Kobby Kyei, Sarkodie said that:
“Like Sista Afia, people were shocked [to see her on the album]. But this is somebody that I listened to her music and the vocal quality that she has. I think people don’t look at that; they’re looking at her as a person”
“I don’t know, I think maybe they have a different perception but the performance of the voice, trust me Sista Afia is really on fire. “So I was a fan and I reached out to her. And I realized that her voice, if she stretches the voice will be a big and that’s what we did on the album- ‘Broken heart’ [the song]and she killed it.”
